Our commitment to the environment
Miljøfyrtårn - "Eco-Lighthouse"
Virke became an accredited eco-lighthouse organisation in 2008 and will be recertified this year. Director Harald J. Andersen, Virke, is on the Board of Miljøfyrtårn.
Ethical Trading Initiative - Norway
Virke wants to be a socially responsible organisation and has been a member of Initiativ for etisk handel (Ethical Trading Initiative - Norway) since 2000. Through our membership we want to continually strengthen our efforts to improve working and environmental conditions in our supplier chain. In this way we will contribute to more sustainable development. More generally, we wish to contribute to strengthened commitment to ethical trade. Director Kim Nordlie is on the board of ETI-N."
