Nordic Innovation House set to establish in Hong Kong and Singapore

Building on the success of the Nordic Innovation Houses in Silicon Valley and New York government agencies from four Nordic countries have joined forces to open in both Singapore and Hong Kong.

Nordic Innovation is a Nordic institution working to stimulate trade and innovation cross borders. The organization is under Nordic Council of Minister and is a central implementor of the Nordic partnership programme for trade, industry and innovation collaboration.

Nordic Innovation House is a soft-landing concept for Nordic entrepreneurs and small and medium sized companies who are new to a specific market or who see the benefits of a being part of a Nordic community.

-It’s very positive that Nordic Innovation House has decided to establish offices in both Singapore and Hong Kong, the latter only a short train-trip away from Shenzhen, where several of China’s technology giants are located, says Cathrine G. Jahnsen, Executive Programme Manager. - Hong Kong is considered as one of the world’s most free economies, where it is easy to start and run a business, and with easy access to a qualified workforce. Many companies get established in Hong Kong as a base for their business towards China and South-East Asia”, concludes Jahnsen.
